The short story is that Time Warner Cable/roadrunner will be dropping
usenet access while Sprint and Verizon will be cutting all alt. newsgroups.

*Oh well, perhaps I should contact my ISP and thank them for being a war
horse. I wonder how much damage this move will cause the companies that
comply or how much my service is liable to depreciate based on an influx of
people that don't intend to be bullied in this fashion.

It sure would make a lot more sense to me (especially in this computer age)
that these ISP's flag the offensive content sites and drop them off the menu
rather than drop the whole thing. A lot more people are liable to protest
the censorship of this policy than they would one that only went after the
offender. I wonder if they are trying to set a policy doomed to failure or
seeing how complacent people have become about certain rights.

I want to know, who do we contact to make our opinion known? And, thanks
for the heads up...saw a little a couple of days ago but didn't know what it
was about.
