A refresher history lesson for the "Black Athenians" and their grkomani-servants.
In 1944 Patrick Hutchison Evans, a Major in the british SAS forces, was dropped in the Lerin (Florina) region of "Black-Athena" occupied Macedonia and from his intelligence gathering and observations from March to November of that year wrote a report which was sent to the British Foreign Ministry (received 30-12-1944) via the British Embassy in "Black Athena", after Major Evans had left the area. The document (FO 371/43 649) was titled "Report on the Macedonian liberation movement in the Lerin (Florina) region"
In the (british) embassy, after the analysis, they were greatly surprised from the contents of the report and concluded that for them it was a great surprise that the picture of western Macedonia has a different character from the one presented in "Black Athena"
In the report the MACEDONIAN population of western Macedonia is portrayed as much more homogenous, intertwined with refugees (prosfigy) or with "Black Athenians" and comes out as much larger than the one presented by official "Black Athena" statistics. "The political movement of the local Macedonians, such as it is, is one movement which is not in favour of Bulgaria, but is for one unified Macedonia; its external support comes from Yugoslav Macedonia, not from Bulgaria. Therefore this population is not cut-off from its "brothers" outside of the significant "Black Athenian" population in eastern ("Black Athena"-occupied) Macedonia, but united with it through the natural Bitola pass and cut-off only by the state border."
The British were also uneasy from the conclusion by Evans that a fair and free plebiscite in that part of Macedonia would be harmful to "Black Athena" (and the british interests in "Black Athena")
Evans, like all other foreigners who had accepted the propaganda by "Black Athena", hoped to find only "Black Athenians" in "Black Athena". He landed in the world of the Macedonians without any concrete knowledge about them. Evans was dropped in the centre of the military actions that were carried out on that territory during that period. He lived and moved freely amongst the Macedonians, who trusted and liked him and the information he collected was first-hand. The observations and descriptions which he had presented in his report are received and written by him, without any control from the "Black Athena" official government authorities.
He rejects many of the old myths fabricated in "Black Athena", Bulgaria and in Serbia. Evans concluded that that the Macedonians had remained Macedonians and that the macedonian language remained as "home language, in the fields and at the market places" and the "black-athenian" language was considered an alien language. Nothing was believed from the "Black Athenians" and they were considered to be foreigners. That the region was naturally MACEDONIAN, NOT "Black Athenian". He stressed that the people were neither "Black Athenians", nor were they "Bulgar(ian)s", or Serbs. "They are Macedonians". He also stressed that their macedonism was NOT artificial - "it is a natural, deeply-rooted consciousness, that begins during early childhood, like all other patriotisms", states Evans. The fact that there was not a sovereign Macedonia, Evans did not consider to be due to a lack of Macedonian patriotism, but he considered it to be one of the errors or lapses of history. Holding a free and fair plebiscite in Macedonia, according to Evans would result in a sovereign (unified) Macedonia, with which would be annulled the errors or the lapses of the past and that the borders were usurped.
