My Next Plane - alt.games.warbirds

Click the pic I already own the Parkzone F-27B Stryker, P-51D Mustang, and the T-28 Trojan.

I love their RTF design.

Construction is solid and they fly great. I'm not much into building.

I don't really have the time or space to do it.

I just like to grab some planes on a whim and go fly when I get the chance.

PZ makes that possible with some really fun planes.

Plus, they easily offer the ability to mod the heck out of them if you so desire. This new Corsair model looks like a lot of fun.

Can't wait to try it out.

Due out mid-August.

You messed with Foamies yet?

Ive got one i made and it is just about my most favorite thing to fly right now.

Great for me to learn 3D with and just about impossible to break Between it and my Mini Ultra Stik i could just about let all my other planes go and still be quite happy.

Used to fly combat foamies for years, although I haven't in awhile.

Started off when most kits were using white or blue foam and then switched to EPP.

Flown several Zagis and some of Dave's(DAW).

One of my favorites was an Aerofoam Corsair that was a combat monster. Here's some old video I shot of some slope combat.

I need to get back into that.

Its late September..how did it go?

Still haven't picked one up yet.

Last time I checked back in late August, the release date had been pushed back.

Looks like it's available now though.

I've been too busy with work and other stuff lately to justify buying one right now, but it is certainly on the short list. I'd love to mod it with some retracts too...a much easier prospect than the T-28 because it would only require the two main gear rather than dealing with the third steerable nose wheel.

My RC flying buddy Mike has already picked up this Corsair. It is as much fun as the T-28 but a bit more distinctive. I would still be flying my PZ Trojan had I not mid aired it against another of the same in a flying demo for our open house. Now for a little bragging. http://www.kyoshoamerica.com/news.php?article_id=88 That's my fat butt on the right. Although I finished third for this event, I have first in season points and am holding the same position in season points for bronze. I had to mod the tips to add wing area to be legal for my engine displacement.

It still looks like a KI-61 on the race course though.

I just picked up this... http://www.wonderhobby.com/cmpusaf4uco1.html and an OS 120AX to put in it.

I'm probably going to be spending the entire winter detailing it out. 75.5" of wing...

My wife ain't too happy.
