Favorite Summer Aftershaves - Badger & Blade

Having spent the entire year in 75+ degree weather, I've finally settled on my three favorite warm weather aftershaves...

In Ranking order (1 being my favorite) 3.

Baxters Aftershave balm - a strong grapefruit scented gel like aftershave balm with menthol for cooling.

The scent is pleasent and goes on with no greasy residue 2.

Mama bears peppermint Summer AS milk - this is a great one.

I much prefer the cooling effects of peppermint to menthol, and this is very light, so it rubs right in and doesn't leave any filmy feeling on your face. 1.

Em's place minty menthol Moisturizing Shaving & All-Purpose Gel - this is my favorite.

It and mama bear are the most cooling aftershaves I've used.

While this is advertised as a shaving gel, it is fantastic as an aftershave.

All of these products have aloe, but it's the main ingredient in this one.

Rubs right in, tightens pores with no residue, freezes your face, and the aloe kicks any and all razor burn.

For those interested, these are the ingredients Aloe Vera, Glycerine, Sweet Almond Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Jojoba, Evening Primrose Oil, Carbomer, Treithanolamine, Diazolidinyl Urea, Tetrasodium EDTA, Menthol, Peppermint EO, Rosemary EO, Spearmint EO, and Frankincense EO Any other favorite summer aftershaves out there?

Proraso splash.

Aqua Velva...I'll beat Doc and Mo to it.

Mama Bears Summertime Rose/Lavender ASB is nice and light as well.

Mama Bear summer, with Bonsai scent added.

75 degree summer!!

Oh man I wish that was us.

Give it a month and we'll be at 100+.

I've seen snow in July dude, I'll take 100+ any day. OK, back on subject. Slider, I don't have a great collection yet but I love Mama Bear's Summertime and if I'm going out on the bike for any distance, I'll use her Wintertime for it's moisturizing properties.

(BTW, thanks Taz for these.

Love 'em.)

Man. I'm slow. But definitely the Velva. -Mo

I've been enjoying Aqua Velva in the morning, and then a splash of Thayer's lavender when I get home from work.

Then ANOTHER splash of Thayer's when I go to sleep.

Thayer's doesn't get my face ready for the day like AV, but AV's a bit too strong to use before bed.

Right now I'm using Aqua Velva regardless of the season.

Now and then some Old Spice.

They're the only two I have right now until I can add some Pinaud Bay Rum to the collection hard to find in Canada, eh.). Regards

It is a balm. Jeff

Aqua Velva made my face feel weird, I can't really expalin it...

That and it burns like crazy, no alcohol for me

Aqua Velva... definitely!

Cooling, readily available, and priced for over indulgence! The smell of Pinaud Bay Rum, layered with some SCS B&B Bay Rum with a Twist EDT is a winner for Summer fragrance (IMO)...

But I wouldn't rub it on my freshly shaven face! -Pete

Bet it'll be less than that.

100 easily before June is out. Quote: : I've seen snow in July dude, I'll take 100+ any day.

Try 10+ days in a row over 100+ and you'll be looking for that snow! Ok, me too - back on topic. Florida Water anyone?

Yeah, it's weak but the first blast from a spray bottle is heavenly.

Otherwise I go for Mountain Frost at Bath and Body Works.

Again, kinda weak but refreshing.

Eau sauvage by Christian Dior. light, lemony and reminds me of many holidays in the south of France and Spain..Ah memories!

A Musgo Real shave, followed by the splash- lovely and refreshing, and makes me feel like a GOD!

Definitely a summer thing, that. I've also been finding the Pinaud Bay Rum makes a great summer aftershave- good eye opener and the scent is very refreshing.

That surprised me since I tend to like spicy scents in Autumn and Winter, but Bay Rum is definitely summery.

Baxter's aftershave balm or Korres Marigold, which is the most superior summertime aftershave I have found.

NOT FAIR! 2 parts Aqua Velva with 1 part MB "no stink" or "mint" summer milk is great! ALSO!

Ahnerb and Floid is good for summer, or anytime.

That and it burns like crazy, no alcohol for me Have you tried mixing it with Witch Hazel?

Also may want to try Skin Bracer (I like AV much more but this has the FDA recommended dose of MENTHOL as well).
