Female Bosses vs Male Bosses - The Coffee Shop - General Discussion - Comcast.net Community Forums

Just a thought- Who is more wanting to promote and see there team or workers excel? Reese'

I have been out of the work force for along time now, I dont think I ever had a female boss, I was always the female boss...I liked seeing and promoting people..

When I could.

Quote: : Just a thought- Who is more wanting to promote and see there team or workers excel? I think it's a toss-up.

I've had equally great - and equally horrid experiences with both.

I'd guess it's more about the individual, not so much about the gender.

I think it has more to do with managerial styles and less to do with gender.

I've worked for some men who are all about the team & some who are just out for themselves & the same with women.

It's also our perception.

When a man is a driven and ambitious he is held up as a role model,  when a women has the same traits she's considered a bit of a ch.

That's not fair & certainly not always true.
