I hope so, I want to see Edmonton fans suffer violently.
|
 |
I'm torn between my desire for Edmonton to fail and my desire for Detroit to not get better.
Tough one.
|
 |
If this is true, holy moly, Detroit will be unstoppable.
How are they able to attract all these great players and keep them around?
Boggles my mind.
|
 |
Yeah, Detroit really could use some offensive help.
They really just don't have the talent right now.

Boggles my mind. Pretty simple.
Lots of players want a cup.

Boggles my mind. They luvs the Little Ceasars pizza
And probably an affordable deal, again Detroit does the unthinkable and actually doesnt act crazy during UFA season.

God. If its true...Detroit is down right scary....
Mind you...their goaltending is still sketchy.
Can Osgood continue off last year???
Conklin has had one 1/2 year season as well.

Not sure how the Wings can fit another ~ 7M salary into there budget
With Stuart being added and if this rumour is true I would guess the Wings would have added ~ 12-13M in salary.

HF is saying it's on TSN as 1 year, $7.4 million, but I don't see it on the website.

My coworkers think i'm retarded.

On the TSN web page now as breaking news

It's on tsn. 1 year 7.4 million.

Sources tell TSN that free agent Marian Hossa has signed a one-year, $7.4 million contract with the Detroit Red Wings.

Confirmed as breaking news on tsn.ca

Haha, suck it Oilers!!!
|
 |
Ouch. Just ouch.
But he's a man of his word.
Takes less to go to a contender.
Gotta give the man credit for that.

It's pretty crazy, but the Wings still have over 10 million in cap space left.
I guess it helps when you have Zetterberg signed at under 3 mil and your starting goalie at under 1.5.
Not to mention the slew of 40+ point guys they have signed, most of whom for well under 2 million.
There are just no bad contracts on that team and many seem willing to take a pay cut to play there.

Oh, c'mon... the guy has 363 career wins and 3 rings (one as a backup though) its not like he had 1 flash in the pan year.
And conklin has shown some good stuff and may not even be the backup.
Howard is a very good young goalie.
|
 |
Wow, thats....terrifying.
Detroit is pretty much a perfect team now.
3 elite two way forwards (most teams lucky to have one), the best defence in the NHL, great contracts all around.
I'd like to criticize their goaltending, but I think Osgood and Conklin will split time all year and post great numbers.
