???
Let me guess. you're a rep who is looking for a free iPhone?
|
 |
Not really. I am not crazy about the iphone.
It just would be nice for AT&T to do something like that for their employees.
U know?

I think ATT has way more full time employees than Apple.
Close to 200,000 in 2005 before getting back together with SBC, who knows how many now.
We're talking about a lot more money, especially since they'd have to actually buy them first?
Apple has I think roughly 15,000 employees.
There will be a few iphones given away during internal sales contests.
No mass giveaways.

The article that I cited above Quote: s Yahoo Finance as stating: "Apple has 17,787 full-time employees".
Apple is also giving the iPhone to part time employees with more than 1 year of service.

That's close to $900,000 for 18,000 4gb iPhones to Apple.
Ouch. If AT&T did it for, say 200,000 employees, that would be $500 x 200,000 = $100,000,000!
