Why wouldn't they be?
They've been getting things their way for soem time not and "liberals" have been watching the country they love get looted and plundered.
I say if you are stupid enough to vote for George Bush, you're probably too stupid to understand what's happening around you, so why wouldn't you be happy?
I mean as long as somebody is putting fresh straw in your cubicle...

I think Conservatives tend to be happier because we work harder and understand the fruits or hard work and effort.
Liberals tend to be lethargic and want everyone else to do for them (just look at the sector of population that generally votes Dem.
They tend to be poorer and less educated).
That's why they're sad, they aren't getting the government handouts like they did under the Clinton regime.
Why do you think they are working so hard to get Hillary or Obama in the White House?
They need the government to run their lives for them!

Intrusive is different than what I'm talking about.
I agree, they've gotten way too involved with personal privacy issues.
What I'm referring to is more along the lines of social welfare, healthcare....etc.
There's a reason the Dems tend to pander to the less fortunate....it's easy to make them big promises of supporting their laziness with government funding.
Same reason a lot of libs tend to like communism.
It allows for everyone to be equal....so those who work hard have to pick up the slack for those who choose not to.
