Intel Core 2 Duo vs. Intel Dual Core!!
I am confused, what is difference Intel Core 2 Duo and Intel Dual Core processor?
Dual core is old intel technology, core 2 duo is better
Intel Dual Core is the technology.
Core 2 Duo is a product with that technology.
hope that helps.

A nice explanation here http://www.chotocheeta.com/2007/09/0...tel-pentium-d/

A "Dual Core" is the term used to reference a single processor chip that has multiple processor cores on it.
An "Intel Dual Core" means its an Intel Dual Core chip right?
"Intel's Core Duo" is their first generation version of the dual core processors.
"Intel's Core 2 Duo" is their newer and second generation version of the dual core processor.
They run faster and use less power compared to the older Core Duo.

How about the Quad Core.
Is that the best processor out now by Intel?
Yeah core 2 quad extreame are the best available currently if you have money to burn.
OP if you are asking about the difference between a Intel Pentium Dual Core and Intel Core 2 Duo, then the pentium dual core still uses the old core architecture which the older pentium chips used which they are not very good really the AMD chips are better.
Where as the newer Core 2 Duo cips are running on the new architecture which is brilliant and has brought Intel back from being in a position where AMD chips where better.
Core 2 Duo and now the Core 2 Quad have really turned things round for Intel and got them back alot of the gaming enthusiasts which had swiched over to AMD.

Definatly, probley the best value for money CPU available ATM, either that or the Q6600 if you would benefit from quad core over dual core, it depends just what programs you run the most.

Core2duo is way too powerful than dualcore.
buy quad core.
I don't think so

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/139971...roduct_reviews Yeah i bought an Asus laptop the other day with a T9500, with 4GB RAM and i swear the thing takes 10 seconds to boot and shut down.
They are really fast processors.

Intel dual core is the better one

buy quad core.
Well nowadays most of the computers come with core2duo processor
so you don't even need to bother to decide which one you want to buy
and about quad core ( i think you don't even need it )
quad core are mostly for gamers, i don't think you have to buy quad core
no matter it is duo core or quad core
how fast your computer runs will have to depend on your programs
it all depends on wether the program is designed for duo core or quad core
if they are not designed for duo core or quad core, the program you are running will make no difference on a single regular Plantium processor computer or on a duo core or quad core processor computer
BUY a computer that is above 700 dollars, you should be fine, with 2 - 4 GB of RAM and good amount of hard drive space
Dont bother with quads, current applications such as games dont use them.so yeh your burning money.well unless you like to run multiple games at the same time for some weird reason, then go for it
Core2dual is the newest line of dual core processors from Intel.
I just bought a new machine with E6700 and it is amazing.
I don't think so
good luck
