Is anybody excited for the realease of The Roots new album, Rising Rown?
I'm a huge Roots fan and personnally, I can't wait.

Yeah, shit's going to be ILLadelph.
Heard about it a couple months ago, and all of the singles are dope.
Can't believe you guys didn't know about this, gotta keep up on your actually worthwhile hip-hop.

I'm a fan. I have all of their stuff.
Some of their newer stuff sounds more studio though.

Illadelph is my favorite roots album, for me its probobaly...

Meh, I don't know.
It's a good album, but I feel it's just a little bit too loose and not as coherent as their other releases.
It has more of a jam band feel, where everyones just spittin' braggadocious battle raps.
Nothing wrong with that one some songs, but on all songs it gets a little tiring, even from The Roots.
Oh, and Black Thought is a top 10 MC.
So underrated, many forget him because he's part of a group.

yo if you buy it from undergroundhiphop.com you get a free roots t-shirt and a questlove afro-pic, i'm buy it from there.
But i've previewed some of the tracks and it looks like it's gonna be one of their best releases.
Well all of their albums are incredible but i think this will be one of the best.
and word to above, black thought is in my top 10 emcees list for sure, very underrated.

Really good. Need to give the other two a look.
I love the song "You Got Me".
Will have to look into their new album/
