Clarification regarding PSM3 and Gamesradar's MGS4 reviews - GameTrailers.com Forums
Just to let others know
that MGS4 got a 9.5 from PSM3
but a 9 from Gamesradar
Although the reviewers are same GAMESRADAR doesnt give out fractional scores like 9.5/9.6/9.7
so the review is 9.5 on PSM3 (which gives out Fractional scores
and 9 on Gamesradar
the review scores are approximated to the nearest 10.
so 9.6 for GTA4 on PSM3 was approximated to 10
but 9.5 for MGS4 will be translated to 9 .
A 0.1 could have ensured a 10 from Gamesradar
so people dont be disappointed by Gamesradar review since it is effectively a 10/10

A 9.6 was needed to make Gamesradar review a 10

MGS4 is really one game that doesn't need defending from reviews.
If a person doesn't play it it's their lose.
I don't doubt it is a masterpiece, better then any other game I played recently (yes GTA, I'm looking at you), but I also don't doubt a little more editing would improve the experience.
What MGS game hasn't need a little snip snip from time to time.
