The Official, about tipping topic (if it's about tipping, it goes here)
There are way too many topics about tipping so why not get it all out in here?

Thomas:
I get an auto grat now...I couldn't care less anymore..he he he...I got mine..
It would be seriously easier for everyone to just work gratuity into the total price.
I was just at dinner with my Grandfather and he wanted to pay for the meal (for 3 people that came to almost $60) and was going to tip $5.
The service was good and I told my grandfather I'd pay the rest of the tip, and he said anything more was too much!
Old people and people from the south don't understand the "industry standard" of 15% or 20% or whatever the hell you guys say it is these days.
Nowhere did it give any guide for how much to tip the waiter.
I left another $5 as our table left.
Maybe there should be a sign in front of the restaurant that tells people what the tipping standard is?
Or maybe you should just have your employer pay you and take care of it that way.

I knew it wouldn't be long before this jackass chimmed in.
Glad to hear he corrected his Grandfather though.
I wonder how everyone else would feel if every check was auto-grated?
As for the employer paying a living wage, it has been beaten to death and no matter how many times it is explained to him he doesn't seem to understand he would end up paying more than just leaving 20%.
I'm with Thomas on this one.
I'm done beating a dead horse.
If you can't guess that horse is the "God".

The whole title of tip/gratuity is confusing...
A patron should be aware they are responsible for paying all the wages of the wait staff before entering a restaraunt over and above the cost of there meal.

Thomas i agree with what you say but you have read all the rants, old people, black people, short people, people with glasses, people with black hair, jews, catholics, atheists...etc...
everyone is a bad tipper let it be known....
so let the ranting begin...

Drop your crap Doug.
I'm sick of you carrying your personal vendetta out in here.
Get a life loser.
