Getting Body Fat Down
Hey guys
I don't play sports but I do horse riding.
I want to get down to 110lbs from 119lbs but losing fat.
I don't run but I do stationary biking, cross training, rowing and abit of walking and jogging.
Usually do 20mins daily at least
I do a few free weights and a bit of ab work
Any tips?

Tip: Keep it even.
Tip: It depends on how tall you are, and body type.
Tip: Keep body fat % below 25.

Cardio....

And one of my good friends wives has won 10's of thousands of dollars in horse shows and shes like 5'6 probably pushing 135 so you dont have to be really tiny to be a successful rider its not like your racing (i dont think anyway)..if your comfortable at 119 stay there

Well there we go!
I think she may want to do it for health reasons though.

It's not actually for my sport but the people in the exercise thread are all about weight lifting and that is not my thing so i didn't find them very helpful so I thought I'd try here.
And I mentioned the riding so you didn't all think this isn't a sport question.
Sorry I was being a bit deceptive
I'm 5ft 3.5 or 4 lol
It's more for feeling that I look good if I'm honest.
Right now I'm kind of flabby.
Do you think what I'm already doing is enough to see results?
|
 |
How long have you been doing it?
Results, unfortunatley, arn't that fast.
Slow and steady, but also you should build up.
Lifting weights, up two seconds, down four.
If you can't do eight reps, the weights are too heavy.
If you can easily do twelve reps, use a heavier weight.
Jog for a longer time or length every time you go jogging.
If you have a gym membership, use the rowing machine.
Do cardio after the weight lifting.
Lets see do about five more crunches or situps every time.
You're weight is fine as is, 110 seems too low.
You probably won't lose weight, but some of that flab will go away if you keep at it.

I've been doing it for like a month or a bit
i've not had great results but the diet has slipped alot and i couldn't work out cos of exams but i'm ready to 100% focus now

School makes it hard, so does stress, just don't go throwing up on us.
A month is a good start.
Keep up at it. Usually results(more visable muscles, less flab, more abs and better endurance) are seen at about three months, but before that they are barley noticable.

I did lose weight
a couple of pounds and inches
then i gained back the weight plus a lil bit but i think i kept off some of the inches so maybe i gained water or muscle but i did gain back like an inch
|
 |
If you keep on working out, you will lose weight, then gain some back.
My brother lost Thirty then shot up twenty five, but he's not fat.
Mmuscle weighs more than fat.
|
 |
Well i actually lost one today so I was being down hearted for no reason.
I'm gonna keep trying and hopefully it'll happen.
I know i need to be patient though and with the summer holidays coming up its going to be hard
