My Rocky II What If Adrian Had Died?
Just a bit of fiction but what if Adrian had died, im not saying she should of done in no sense of the word.
Adrian is part of the Rocky world as much as Rocky is
Im one of those who believed it was a crazy mistake in Rockys world to get rid of Mickey played by the hugely overlooked & late great actor Burgess Meredith.
I was also a bit sad that Tony Gazzo played by the late great Joe Spinell was never mentioned after Rocky II.
I would of thought Rocky would of kept in touch as Gazzo alwasy looked after him.
Give him a bit of extra cash when he was hard up.
This is a bit of fan fiction thats all.

ROCKY II
Rocky Vs Creed ends with Creed as a winner
At the hospital Rocky & Apollos altercation is broken up as it gets violent as Creed refuses to take in that Rocky will just retire
Rocky is operated on
Rocky & Adrian are married
At the reception Gazzo & Paulie question if it is really the cleversed thing in the world for Rocky to retire as he is a commodity that can earn a fortune in the ring even if he fights Apollo again our not.
But Mickey & Adrian make it clear to a undecisive Rocky that he will never fight again
Rocky & Adrian make love
While Rocky & Adrian are spending like money is free.
Apollo Creed is in the ring fighting challenger after challenger.
10 straight victorys against real challengers to prove he is a deal.
But after every challenge he is interviewed about Rocky & he makes no secret he wants Rocky in the ring
Apollo Creed visits Mickey at his gymn & trys to bribe him to get Rocky back in the ring, but Mickey sends him on his way telling him he will never betray Rocky
Rocky & Adrian find that she is pregnant
Apollo Creed trys to bribe Gazzo to take Rockys ear & get him back in the ring.
But he to will not take his money
As Rockys advert is a big disaster, Rocky floors the director with one punch after he insults him infront of Adrian.
Looking at his fists Rocky realises that maybe fighting with his hands is all he knows
Paulie takes Apollos money & agrees to try & get Rocky back in the ring
Rocky is helped learned to read by Adrian
Apollos wife is beside herself as Apollo reads the hate mail & is determined to get Rocky in the ring
Rocky is getting no job offers at the employment agencies
Apollo beats another opponent & calls out Rocky again
Rocky gets Paulies old job at the slaughter house
Apollo demands his people pull out all the stops to get Rocky in the ring
Rocky continues to work at the slaughter house & come home to Adrian
Apollo beats another opponent
Rocky is laid off & is more determined than ever to get back in the ring.
But Adrian begs him not to so he wont.
He feels even worse that Adrian is going back to work at the pet shop
Mickey refuses to train Rocky but offers him a job in the gymn & he accepts
Rocky sells his car to Paulie who trys to pursuade him back in the ring
Gazzo gives Rocky his job back on the docks even though he thinks he should be back in the ring
Rocky starts working at the gymn.
At the gymn Rocky takes a lot of ribbing, humour & observation about his manhood.
Eventually 3 males take it to far & Rocky takes tham apart.
Mickey observing this realises maybe Rocky hasnt completly lost it & might have something left.
Rocky throws his wait around at the docks but he still cant break the thumb thats not Rocky
As Rocky is walking Adrian home he faces a altercation with 3 fighters from the gymn.
He can live with what they call him but when they infere to Adrian she should get a real man.
He leaves them lying in the street.
At home Rocky with Adrian is destroyed on the TV by Apollo.
And he tells Adrian he will go against her wishes & fight Apollo again & get another trainer if he has to.
But Mickey decides to take him on one more time
Rocky & Apollo have a really hostile press confrence.
Rocky is not training at his best & its obvious to Mickey & Paulie.
Paulie trys to get Adrian to see sense but she collapses in his arms
At the hospital Rocky faces the loss of Adrian & the premature baby.
At the funeral Rocky observes to Mickey, Paulie & Gazzo he has nothing left to lose & will continue his training
Rocky sells up & gives up Bunkis & returns to a one room flat similuer to his old one
Both Rocky & Apollo train like mad men
Through his run in the park Rocky realises it is only through the love of the people that will see him through a fight against Apollo
Rocky spends a night in the church with the Priest who gives him wisdom before the fight
Rocky spends time at the cemetry & Adrians graveside
Apollo alone feels the guilt of what he has partly done to Rocky
Rocky wins the fight against Apollo & Mickey promises to put him right.

Although the loss of Adrian is not easy to stomach, your screenplay idea is very cool.

OPENING BALBOA WINS TITLE OFF OF CREED
Balboa wins 10 succesive bouts but is constintly taken a part by the sports press & media for taking on lightweight opponents.
Clubber Lang is brutalising everyone in his path, Mickey & the media realise this.
And the sports press & media pursue Rocky accussing him of hand picking lacklustre opponents to maintain his pointless undefeated streak.
Believing he is now far more preoccupied in lifes little luxurys than fighting a real opponent such as Clubber.
Apollo Creed rises up the ranks as he is a man on a mission to get his title back.
Pubicly rubishing Rocky observing he has turned into a classless champion.
The press demand & anticapate a Rocky Vs Apollo III The Decisive Win.
Keep the Rocky/Adrian parts the same
At the wrestling match a angry but agreeable Clubber Lang watches as Apollo Storms the ring & accusses Rocky of sending boxing into the gutter with this specticle, And calls out the champ.
But Micky refuses the challenge accusing Apollo of being yesterdays news.
Keep the parts with Rocky at home with Adrian,Rocky Jr,Paulie & Mickey the same.
Rockys & Clubbers comfrintation the same & Mickeys revalation to Rocky the same.
Along with the training scenes.
The backstage stuff at the fight were Rocky & Lang brawl I would keep the same.
During the opening of the fight Apollo would send out a clear warning out to both Rocky & Clubber that he is the next contender in line.
Rocky is beaten by Clubber.
We have Mickeys funeral & Rocky pondering weather to return to the ring.
Now his name is a joke as he is considered a joke champion.
And his choices of earninmg money have decreased.
But who will train & manage him he decides to take over Mickeys go back to old school & train himself with Al Silvani in his corner
Apollo would go on to outclass & beat lang easily by using his intelligence & speed.
Like Foreman & Ali exhaust Clubber take him into the late rounds far longer than Clubber can go & knock him out in 10.
Then Rocky gets a second win by beating real opponents before taking on Lang in a number one contenders match & then we come to the decisive Rocky Balboa Vs Apollo Creed III were there is one decisive winner Rocky.

Also id make sure that Rocky actually looked like a heavyweight like in Rocky II not a lightweight.

For Creed to have 10 fights...that would take quite some time...Heavyweights don't have title fights that often...so, you have a huge time frame here...

Ive increased the duration of the film rather than it been over a 12 month period its a little over 2 years.
More to the point in the 70s it wasnt tottaly rediculous for a fighter to fight 5 to 6 times a year
