Honestly, I would rather not discuss these matters with you, but since you asked, and I believe you are diligently searching to know the Way of Truth, I will do my best to inform you:
his name is samel (the poison - elohim)
he is the accuser, and being the tempter he can influence how you think.
it's best to pray outloud, even a whisper, so you do not get confused and think that a thought samel introduces into your mind came from your own mind.

This is coming from somebody that doesn't believe in god.
The way I see it, if you think Satan exists, you would think he would communicate or attack the pope or someone with huge power aligned with god.
I think if he did exist he probably would try to read the pope's mind or a bishop's and we'd hear about it in the news.
Don't see why he would target anyone of us, compared to the church do us little people matter to Satan?
So just my point (having this chill in my spine that someones going to target me for this) is that if he did intercept or listen to prayers, he wouldn't worry about Jim Bob down the street wanting a new lawnmower and some more cash, he probably wouldn't care he would care about people who matter to god, and since we haven't heard anything...it probably never happens.
That's my belief.
