In addition to links, I went nuts with the new threads today.
I stole a bunch of off topic ideas from vBorg, and for the state theme I did the new york state flower, insect, new york state fruit, mammal, shell, and many others as polls.

I know he contacted me at one or the other.

Well i understand the purpose of the link exchanges cause we all know each other and they are regional sites what real benefit is it other then a few backlinks?
I mean i doubt we will get any real members from the exchange it's not like people from ohio or arizona would want to talk about new york or delaware.
Ya know? i mean if someone had 1 centralized board about the US and threw links out to our various boards that could be cool but would be a huge undertaking to get it promoted.
OTOH Sites like DiscussNY and TalkBX of course would be great exchanges as they are both NY and can easily share members.
I will say though the town of Delaware,Ohio pulls some rank with serps in Delaware terms sometimes, it's crazy...

A couple of people from TalkOhio joined Talk Kentucky because he's from Kentucky.
A member of your TalkPA site joined TalkOhio.
So ya never know.

I just put up TalkVirginia (talkvirginia.net) and I'm focusing on the state of Virginia and surrounding areas.
It's a little empty right now but I'm in the process of adding content as time permits.
