"Boom goes the dynamite" gets a real job...in Waco - Aggiefans.com

What a perfect fit for Baylor sports.

The infamous "Boom Goes The Dynamite" college sportscaster got a real sportcasting job in none other than Waco.

For any of you that live in a cave that have no idea who I am talking about, I posted the youtube. http://www.kxxv.com/Global/story.asp...&nav=menu509_9 Boom Goes the Dynamite

Is that a joke? was it really on the air?

Was it really on the air?

No that was not a joke.

He was really on the air and that was a real broadcast when he was in college.

I think he needs some advice from bill O....

"we'll do it live!" NSFW by the way: Bill O'Reilly Flips Out

How do you ever get another sports casting job after that?

Seems like you would walk into an interview and everyone would just start laughing.

We are talking about Waco sports.

Not exactly a hotbed for athletics up there.

O'Reilly - now that was funny.

Would hate to be his producer.

Obviously took a little chewing after that episode.

Amazing how he couldn't do the take, but he could do it live just fine.

What do you mean?

Aren't they picked to be the upset specialist this year and actually play in the MNC game?

Sure, if MNC stands for Monday Night Church game.

Actually I was thinking mythical national championship.

Really don't think they could win the Waco church league with their talent this year.

Whats worse is we have to suffer through some of their crappy stations here in b/cs.

Since we are technically aligned with waco (and not houston even though we are a bit closer to houston).

Although it doesnt matter anymore thanks to directv's spotbeams i can get houston or dallas stations. that said houston and dallas arent much better....

All their news is 25 murders and or robberies, 2 secs of weather and 1 story on the pro sports team and call it a night.

Atleast kbtx covers the ags every day.

Don't blame Brian Collins for that poor performance.

Blame Pearland for that crappy job of typing up the cue cards.

I think it was local access Tv for his college, and not a "real" TV job like he has in Waco.

Man, I wish they would've said in that article something along the lines of 'Brian is probably already a star with you internet users.

Expect many more of Brian's catch phrases in November when Baylor Bear basketball tips off.' What I want to know, P-ville, is did you see this article & recognize the guy or what?

Waco is, in my opinion, a good market.

It's close to dallas where you could get noticed, it's decent in size and respected, it's around a good high school football area, & you get to cover bu, a&m and tu...as well as pretty much every sports team in texas since it's in the middle of everything. whatever he did to get that spot, he's got a good 'in'. however, they have him listed strictly as a news reporter, which looks like he'll stay strictly hard news...probably will help with their h/s sports stuff but looks like they maybe hoping for him to stay away from the crowd who knows him the best: sports fans.

This guy has to report on Baylor sports.

Maybe they think a comedy routine will brighten the spirits of the viewers.
