Attempting to Convert Non-Hobby Grade Car to Hobby Grade
Hey,
I got a free non-hobby grade, and the control board fried.
Go figures, right?
So I get into thinking.
It's almost like a TT-01 chasis.
Why not?
So, here's what I think I'm getting..
DuraTrax Auto-Sport Intellispeed w/ Forward/Reverse
TX and RX (with Crystals)Airttronics Rival sport and Futaba FP-R102GR respectively.
You can have the hitec rx if you really want, but it won't make a difference IMHO.
I have no idea what brand the crystals are, but they work, and in the end, that is all that counts.
ESC(MAYBE) Racer Nova.
Made in USA (that's always a plus ) One touch set-up (underneath which is an led, and a small button that says set, so it is programmable), and it has an adjustable current limiter, from 20 to 80 amps, or off.
1 Servo The sticker is removed.
I was going to give you one of the other two, but when I tested them, only this one worked I don't know why, they worked before.
(sketch, if you are reading this, the one in the Double XT also worked, and that is the one you are getting, regardless of whether you get the Double XT or the buggy).

Should work seems there enough room to fit the electrics in...
but what happens when you start breaking parts?
Can u get replacement parts from anywhere??
You have to remember that chassis isnt built for hobby grade speed so sooner or later something gonna break on it....

Never really thought of that...
Hmm.
Maybe I'll just buy a TT-01 chassis, when something breaks, and just convert it.
:P

Would work out better that way m8 TTs are cheap enough for parts etc
Then you know if any thing gets broke you can order new replacement parts
