SF - Domenica Bay Rum? - Style Forum

I would like to try the Domenica Bay Rum as an aftershave (I currently use Baxter's Aftershave Balm).

Anyone with experience with this product?

Thoughts? Thanks - ET

I've not tried Domenica Bay Rum, but it's well-liked by others for the clean simplicity of its scent. However, other bay rum splash-type aftershaves have burned a bit, so be prepared for a stinging sensation somewhere between that of a thousand angry jellyfish, and the the slow inferno of hell.

The burning does subside - it takes between 30 seconds and two minutes, and after that you're good to go.

I like Dominica Bay Rum quite a bit and sent my Dad a bottle for Father's Day.

Perfect timing as I literally just splashed on some (although it was the the Lime version).

I find it refreshing, summery, and old-school.

Thank you both. Think I'll try them out.

If you find yourself liking bay rum, then you will have to try the Pinaud Clubman bay rum, the face-burningest of them all.

As I'm told, Pinaud is the closest you'll get to cauterizing your face with a liquid that doesn't come with an MSDS.

I'm lazy. Someone go find a Youtube clip from Home Alone of aftershave application ...

Aqua Velva? Someone missed a product placement opportunity there...
